In previous reports, predictors of length of hospital stay included gestational age, birth weight, and respiratory maturity, and perinatal factors.25–27 As for predictors of ventilator days, a previous report found lower gestational age, higher admission illness severity, lower 5-minute Apgar score, presence of anomalies, male, and white race.29,30,40
