2022, Journal of Pediatric SurgeryCitation Excerpt :Animals were treated according to approved protocols by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia [Philadelphia, PA, USA (IBC # 19-001349)]. Left-sided CDH was surgically created in time-dated fetal lambs at 70–78 days gestational age (GA) (term = 145 days) according to previously described methods [34,35]. Briefly, subcutaneous fentanyl patches (2 ug/kg/hr) were administered 24 h prior to surgery.
