  • A neonate was considered symptomatic if he/she has at least one of the following symptoms within the first 18 h of life: respiratory distress lasting for more than 3 h after birth, haemodynamic instability treated with volemic expansion and/or inotropic agents, lethargy, or feeding intolerance.
