  • The CLD group had a significantly lower gestational age (a: P = 0.001, b: P < 0.0001) and birthweight (d: P = 0.02, e: P < 0.0001) and higher percentage receiving artificial ventilation on day 2 than the N-OD group (P = 0.02), on day 3 than the OD group (P = 0.006) and N-OD group (P = 0.0005), and from day 7 onwards than the OD and N-OD groups (P < 0.0001). There were also differences in gestational age (c: P = 0.02) and birthweight (f: P = 0.01) between the OD and N-OD groups, but no differences in numbers of infants receiving artificial ventilation. There were no differences in gender.
