AB  - The need for outcome evaluations as part of clinical trials has never been greater. In this paper, issues around the design and data collection of such outcome evaluations are discussed in relation to how they may be best collected and the options available. There is a need for organisation of such evaluations and consistency of measures between trials to optimise efficiency.
