A case of Klebsiella brain abscess in a neonate is described. Diagnosis of abscess was confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound-guided aspiration. A term neonate appropriate for gestational age was delivered by caesarean birth. The delivery was complicated by fever and leaking of amniotic fluid for 36 h.
