    A 26-week-gestation female was born by emergency C-section, due to preterm onset of labour and placenta praevia, well at birth but noted to have bruising and swelling of left foot with dusky toes. She had a short period of ventilation and then minimal continuous positive airway pressure support, bilateral grade 2 to 3 intraventricular haemhorrage, no early-onset or late-onset infection, and negative blood cultures.
