    In July of this year, there was an alert issued by the British Association of Perinatal Medicine regarding the safety of Transwarmer mattresses, highlighting the risk of burns if the mattresses are used in conjunction with other heat sources.1 We are aware that some units are considering abandoning the use of Transwarmers because of this.
