A preterm newborn (24 weeks gestational age, birth weight 710 g) was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. On day 30 of life, he was receiving respiratory support with nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), full breast milk feeds and no medication except vitamin supplements.
