Case report
A 39-year-old woman at 25 weeks of pregnancy with marfanoid habitus and a medical history of thoracic aortic aneurysm, was admitted to the emergency department of our hospital due to thoracic pain. A thoracic angio-CT was performed to rule out an aortic dissection, using the iodinated contrast media ioversol. This examination confirmed the presence of an ascending aortic intramural haematoma.
