Hydrocoele and periorchitis after extravasation of parenteral nutrition solution

On the fifth day of life, a 26-week male infant developed progressive abdominal and scrotal distension. Whitish discoloration of the scrotal skin raised suspicion of extravasation of lipid-containing parenteral nutrition solution (total parenteral nutrition (TPN)).
