Sister Chan and Hey’s interesting account of neonatal resuscitation makes no mention of hypoglycaemia. There are few greater delights than the dramatic response of a dying baby to intravenous glucose. Every ill patient should have his blood sugar checked and every discussion of neonatal care should mention it.
